Evolving Minimum Viable Everything newsletter

A reflection of the past and preparation for the future.

Evolving Minimum Viable Everything newsletter

Due to personal circumstances this year, I stopped working on the Minimum Viable Everything newsletter. I am trying to get back into my routine and rhythm, and I want to change the content of my newsletter.

The bad

  1. Weekly prototypes of popular products is hard given I do this as a hobby.
For me to be happy with the quality of prototype and be able to communicate how to build it effectively is going to take more than 7 days.
  2. Prototyping an entire product doesn’t allow me to fully go into the detail of individual components.
I’d like to go into particular features or components that we can prototype. Prototyping an entire app means I’m using more than one software and I cannot go into the details of it unless I write a really long newsletter.
  3. I want Minimum Viable Everything to be more than just prototyping an app.
My vision for MVE is a hub for people to go and learn how can they solve a particular problem without needing a team of engineers or hours wasted. MVE should be a place for entrepreneurs to have access to a sea of resources to build the features they need for their demo / MVP. With that in mind, I want my newsletter to cover all aspects and building things fast! Covering things like, how to build a login system, to how to track analytics for decision making, to how to saving customer information. I want to cover all these things in detail, including demo, competitors and tutorials.

The promise

I introduce a couple of series of content that align with how I want to evolve the newsletter.

Weekly:

  1. How tos
Every week, I unpack a common problem for building a MVP. E.g. how to add a user login, storing data, workflows etc. I go into detail how to build these solutions, what alternatives, and what works best depending on your usecase.

Monthly:

  1. Prototype a product From my collection of how tos, I should be able to pick and implement the features I want to build a complete end to end prototype. I can reference my how to guides if users want to go into them in detail.

When does the new schedule and content start?

I am planning to restart the newsletter from 15th September. T ill then, I am going to

  1. prepare my content
  2. increase discoverability of the newsletter
  3. improve SEO and organic traffic
  4. Build social account of MVE
